The Global Social Business Summit (GSBS) is the largest social business platform worldwide and an opportunity to learn from the originals who have changed the world for those who want to. An intensive program of talks, panel discussions and workshops provides a unique occasion to share ideas as well as results from existing initiatives, make connections and keep learning from various players of social business ecosystems around the world.

In conjunction with GSBS, Country Forums will be conducted and hosted by each member country respectively throughout 3 days starting the 6th of November 2021.

Chaired by myHarapan this online Malaysian Country Forum will be held this 9th Sept from 10 am to 3 pm inviting all social business stakeholders in Malaysia.

The objective of the forum is to create 30 Social businesses/clubs by the end of 2022 and the objective of this forum is to discuss the key areas to promote and develop social businesses in the country including research, capacity building and events in order to develop 30 social businesses and clubs by the end of 2022.

We will be inviting key industry players for this purpose, and invite others to join and add value to the discussion.
Professor Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and founder of the first micro-credit organization Grameen Bank, defines social business more narrowly as a kind of business, whose primary aim is to address a social problem, is financially self-sufficient and does not pay dividends to its owners.

Collective Effort
MYSBN was established in 2016. Its founding members are myHarapan, Institut Darul Ridzuan, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Petronas and Universiti Sains Malaysia to synergise social business research and advocacy efforts among multi-stakeholders.
The network is responsible for the declaration of Ipoh as the 5th Social Business City, endorsed and witnessed by Prof. Muhammad Yunus. Joint efforts include the development of a Social Business Incubator,co-authoring a Social Business Book for Malaysia, Social Business Competitions and curriculum development for Institutes of Higher Learnings.
The network believes that the best way to make a real and lasting difference in people’s lives is to empower communities to bring about the change that they want to see. Their goal is to make social entrepreneurship, and in particular, social business, mainstream in all institutions of learning, providing a safe hub for our youths to ideate and implement good social solutions and be recognized for their efforts.

3 ZEROES CLUB
Malaysia
The 3Z Global Centre is planning to expand the 3ZERO Club initiative to youth around the world, and therefore we want to share the 3ZERO Club initiative and encourage young people to register their interest in the 3ZERO Club.
What is 3Zeroes Club?
The 3ZERO Club is an initiative towards achieving the Nobel Peace Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus’s vision of creating a world of three zeros — zero net carbon emission, zero wealth concentration for ending poverty, and zero unemployment by unleashing entrepreneurship in all.
